Cartky.org is designed to be a community conversation place for ideas in transportation. To achieve that goal we need a lot of different voices - including yours - in producing & refining ideas.

To write a story, log in to your cartky.org account. If you are a CART member or have special permission to write here, you should see along the left hand side a link that says "Create Content" right under "My Account". If you don't see it, contact me and we'll hook you up.

Anyway, click "Create Content", and then "Story".

You'll come to a page where you can fill in a title for your article, then a bunch of topics which you can click - or skip them if you're not so inclined, then a big field called "Body". Body is where you type your text. These words I'm typing here are in the body of this story.

At the very bottom of the page should be two buttons, "Save" and "Preview". Use "Preview" to make sure the story looks as you want it to, then click "Save". Then the story will go into the queue of things for me to review, and it'll be posted in usually just a few hours - sometimes in minutes!

A Note on Copyright

Although its tempting, it is not OK to just paste in news articles or words from other people's sites. A few short lines are okay as long as they're attributed, but more than that you have to instead link to the site.

To create a link, you first light up the words you want to link to with the mouse cursor. Then you click the link button . Paste in the URL of the article you want to link to, and press OK.
